Storm is kind to the sanctuary

High winds and heavy rain battered St Osyth in the early hours of Monday morning. Thankfully we had spent the weekend securing hutches and moving items that might damage the animals and buildings. All this preparation done and then we waited with baited breath for the storm to finally arrive.
We never had any damage other than one row of our prayer flags came down
Once the storm passed the animals started moving out of their huts and it was business as usual at Greenland Grove

Peggy just loves counting zzzzzs

Buddy slept a lot as a youngster but Peggy Sue our yearling beats him hands down.
She is such a typical teenager, sound asleep when Carol arrives in the morning wakes up for her hard feed then back to sleep until it’s time to go out to the field.
What an easy life she has!

Busy week at the Sanctuary

Busy week at the Sanctuary…
We have been putting in drainage & a septic tank from money from a Community Grant & doing pathways & groundwork from a Grant from St Osyth Parish Council …A big Thank you for them both.
After we have done all that we will be starting on putting up the new gates & fencing…the good work never stops down here at the Sanctuary!!
